What if I told you that we’re all made up of energy and that this energy is represented in our body by the chakras?

As well as our physical body, we are born with these energy centers (the Chakra system) but as we develop in our lives, they get blocked and distorted.

In this post we will run through the best Crystals for the Chakras and the best ways to use chakra crystals for each different chakra in your body.

Guide to crystals for the chakras. How to choose healing crystals for each of the 7 chakras

The 7 chakras are healing centers of the human body. Working with them and balancing them will give you extra benefits when working on your own health.

With crystals, you use certain ones designated to the different chakras in order to help provide extra healing for that area of your body.

There is more to crystals than just looking pretty. These fascinating stones have incredible healing powers and can be used to improve any aspect of your life.

The good news is that by using the right stones we can activate healing properties, remove negative energy and improve our energy flow.

What are the seven chakras in order?

There are seven main chakras that run up your spinal cord from the base of your spine to the top of your head. They are called:

  • The Root Chakra
  • The Sacral Chakra
  • The Solar Plexus Chakra
  • The Heart Chakra
  • The Throat Chakra
  • The Third Eye Chakra
  • The Crown Chakra.

Lets take a look at which chakra stones work the best for crystal healing with a focus on each of the chakra centers in the body.

Root Chakra

The first Chakra is our body is the root chakra, which sits at the base of the spine. This Chakra is linked to our survival instinct and represents our need to be safe, secure, and grounded.

To keep this chakra balanced, we need to work on building positive relationships with others. We also need to build a sense of safety within ourselves.

The Root Chakra is associated with your core, and also with the immune system.

It’s your center of being and purpose. When you’re connected, you feel grounded and connected to everything and everyone. But without your root chakra, your emotions can get out of control. Your mind can become chaotic. It becomes easy to feel overwhelmed and stressed. If this happens to you, make sure you ground yourself. It’s not enough to just sit in silence. You need to be in a quiet place where you feel safe, calm, and centered. You’ll be able to focus better. You’ll be able to solve problems. And you’ll be able to do anything else you want.

Crystals for the Root Chakra

The Root chakra deals with grounding, and crystals that have brownish-black tones are perfect for that.

These would include smoky quartz, black tourmaline, black obsidian, and jet. Red crystals for the Root Chakra are fire agate, bloodstone, and red jasper.

In a way, these stones remind us of the earth itself.

Sacral Chakra

Your second chakra is your sacral chakra, which is located right below your belly button. This energy center is related to your kidneys and includes your reproductive organs and sexual organs.

In ancient times, people believed that every person had one “sacral chakra” which was located in the lower abdomen. This sacral chakra was the main center of a person’s personality and emotions. There were four main functions associated with the sacral chakra: reproduction, death, emotions, and spirituality.

Crystals for the Sacral Chakra

You want to choose crystals that help with sexual energy, health, and balance. The color of these crystals is usually orange or peach, though some brown is mixed in as well.

Sacral Chakra stones include carnelian, citrine, imperial topaz, moonstone, peach selenite, and fire opal.

Solar Plexus

The third chakra is your solar plexus

Your solar plexus is at the top of your belly.

Many people refer to the solar plexus chakra as the “power center” or “command center” because it controls our ability to take action. If you feel like you’re stuck and can’t do anything, the solar plexus chakra could be blocked.

If you have a difficult time deciding, you may have a weak solar plexus.

This chakra is connected to all of our other chakras, so if you feel like your entire body is tired or worn out, this is likely due to an issue with the solar plexus chakra.

Crystals for the Solar Plexus

Crystals used for self-love, confidence, and inner strength are typically yellow and gold, so these colors work best for this chakra.

Crystal types like topaz, citrine, tiger’s eye, golden calcite, and golden quartz will help you connect with the energy in this area.

Heart Chakra

The heart chakra is the seat of your intuition. Your heart chakra helps you to tap into your feelings and emotions. This helps you connect with the higher-level thoughts and beliefs of others. This means that the more you understand other people’s feelings, the more you are able to read and interpret them correctly.

Your heart chakra is more than just love and friendships. It’s also about compassion and being open with your feelings. It is pink and green together in color, though pink and green together are sometimes used with crystals.

Heart Chakra Stones

Watermelon tourmaline is one crystal that works well with this chakra because it is pink and green together. Other crystals you could use to work with this chakra include rose quartz, jade, green aventurine, peridot, and emerald.

Throat Chakra

The throat chakra is the fifth chakra. This energy center is located at the base of the throat.

It is responsible for the voice and also has a direct link to the higher self and spirit.

When the throat chakra is balanced, you are able to express your innermost self and communicate effectively.

Unbalanced throat chakras may lead to poor communication, emotional eating, and even addictions to alcohol, sex, drugs, or food.

If the throat chakra is unbalanced, you may have a hard time expressing yourself and communicating effectively with others.

Problems with this chakra can display in physical symptoms like a sore throat

Crystals for the Throat Chakra

The energy in your throat chakra is all about communication. If you have difficulty expressing yourself, using crystals that are the color blue – specifically light blue or teal may be helpful.

The best are turquoise and lapis lazuli, but you can also use aquamarine, blue topaz, angelite, and celestite, blue apatite

Third Eye Chakra

According to the ancient Indian yogi, the third eye chakra, or ajna, is located in the center of your forehead, about where the eyebrows meet and is linked to the pineal gland.

It’s also called the “spiritual eye,” because its job is to link you to the universe and the energy of all things. And if you’re not aware of this, you may experience issues with your memory, intuition, and emotional awareness.

Crystals for the Third Eye Chakra

For improved intuition and other mystical abilities, you should use crystals that are associated with the third eye chakra. You’ll find these crystals with colors like purple and various shades of violet. They include crystals like amethyst, tanzanite, lapis lazuli, iolite, and blue tourmaline.

Crown Chakra

The final chakra in your body is your crown chakra, which is really about your spiritual connection to the universe. This chakra is associated with the element of thought.

When this chakra is blocked you can end up feeling confused or disconnected from the world around you.

Crystals for the Crown Chakra

The Crown Chakra can also be considered a purple chakra, but often people will also use crystals of gold or clear varieties. Therefore, selenite, white moonstone, and white quart are at the top of the list. You may also want to use amethyst, selenite, ametrine, and spirit quartz.
