Are you ready to try this simple healthy no bake snack idea? Let’s go!

No Bake Energy Bites Ingredients

For this easy and healthy snack recipe you will need the following supplies.

This recipe will make 10 to 12 balls. This will be enough to last two weeks if you have one every other day. If you want more, just double or triple the recipe, and once prepared store them in an airtight container to keep them fresh.

  • 1/2 cup natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (We buy organic)
  • 1/2 cup cashews or your favourite nuts
  • Organic honey to taste
  • Protein powder (We prefer to use Herbalife brand)

For this recipe, you will find it easier if you can use a food processor. If you don’t have one then it’s possible to mix together all of the ingredients really well in a bowl with your hands, it will just take you a little longer to make your batch.

Vegan Energy Balls Ingredients

For Vegan friendly energy bites, just omit the honey and you could also try including 1/2 cup of raw almonds 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds 1/4 cup of coconut sugar 3 tablespoons of maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Dates are also an amazing source of energy, and work well as an ingredient for energy balls although the natural sugar content will end up a little higher.

Instructions / Method

Let’s go through the steps of how to make no bake energy balls, aka energy bites. When using the food processor, this will not take you longer than 15 minutes.

In your food processor, pulse 1/2 of the cashews until medium ground and set aside.

Next, add peanut butter, cocoa powder, protein powder, chocolate chips and the remaining 1/2 of the cashews.

Pulse all of these ingredients together until well blended.

In a medium bowl, add oats and the mixture from food processor until the consistency is ready to form into balls. Add water as needed.

And you are done! The great thing about this recipe is that you do not need to bake the energy balls. This makes it super quick, and the raw energy bites are full of plenty of goodness.

Keep refrigerated in an airtight container such as a Tupperware box until you are ready to eat. These also freeze well!
